How this site is built to be used.
We design against WCAG 2.2 AA. This page states what has been built in, what has been tested, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
Built into this site
- Semantic headings in order on every page
- A skip link to the main content
- Keyboard operation for navigation, explorers, accordions and the enquiry form
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Labels tied to form controls, with errors announced and linked to their field
- Menus and accordions that report their open state to assistive technology
- Text and interface colours checked for contrast in both light and dark appearance
- Reduced-motion support: animation is removed when your system asks for it
- Layouts that reflow to a single column without horizontal scrolling
Known limits
- The homepage composition is decorative. It carries a text description and nothing in it is needed to understand the page.
- Horizontally scrolling shelves are reachable by keyboard; every item in them also appears as a normal link elsewhere on the site.
- The enquiry form does not accept attachments, so no file-upload accessibility is claimed.
- A formal accessibility conformance statement has not yet been produced for this site.
If something on this site stops you doing what you came to do, tell us through the enquiry form and describe what happened. We treat that as a defect, not feedback.
